SeaDream II - cruising exclusively like on a private yacht

As the sun rises, the overwhelming panorama of the picturesque Côte d'Azur passes by while you enjoy a delicious breakfast on deck. Then take a jetski to the beach for a barbecue. In the evening you relax in the jacuzzi or Thai spa before listening to the pleasant sounds in the piano bar.

All this you will experience on SeaDream II, which offers you the exclusive ambience of a private yacht in a casual atmosphere. The 105 m long ship of the luxury cruise line SeaDream Yacht Club was launched in 1984 and was completely overhauled in 2014.

The SeaDream II has 56 luxurious outside suites and offers 112 people unparalleled service, which is offered by the 95 crew members. Due to its compact size, SeaDream often manages to call at smaller harbors and secluded bays.

Before the cruise

Embarkation and disembarkation
Embarkation
The usual embarkation time is at 14.00. Please refer to your itinerary. It is not possible to drop off your luggage before the scheduled embarkation time. Depending on the travel destination, you will need special documents for embarkation. More detailed information upon request.

When you book your flight arrival you should plan at least 3 hours between landing and embarkation.

Disembarkation
Depending on the port, the local authorities (customs and immigration authorities) must first give the cruise line permission to let the guests off board. This can take some time. You should plan at least one hour in which you will already be on board in the port of disembarkation. More detailed information upon request.

When booking your flight departure you should plan at least 3 hours between disembarkation time and the departure time.
Luggage
SeaDream has no regulations regarding the maximum amount of luggage. You can bring as much as you want, but please keep in mind that all your luggage (including golf equipment) must be stored in your cabin. There are no additional storage areas available.
Vaccinations
All guests have the obligation to check their personal health status regarding suitability for traveling. The CDC and WHO provide you with all the information you need about the vaccinations required for your planned travel destinations. If you are not sure, ask your family doctor for advice. 

During the cruise

Medical care
The SeaDream yachts are both equipped with a small medical center. Please note that this is not a fully equipped hospital. Diseases and injuries that occur during the cruise can be treated here, but the ward is not designed to treat existing ailments. The inventory of medical devices and medicines is limited. So if you know before departure that you need certain medications, please bring them on board yourself.

The cost of using the infirmary is registered to your onboard account. Please note that these costs could be significantly higher than the same treatment on land.
Balinese dream beds
Let the world go by while you relax in one of the SeaDream Dream Beds. Here is the perfect place for a good book, your favorite drink or just to look out over the open sea and unwind.

During the day you can sunbathe wonderfully and at night the beds invite you to a restful sleep under the open starry sky.
Library
The peaceful, cozy atmosphere of the onboard library invites you to linger. Here you can borrow books to read while traveling, play board games and use the computers and printers provided.
Onboard account
During embarkation, an onboard account will be opened for you upon presentation of your credit card (Visa, Master Card, or American Express). All your expenses on board are recorded in your onboard account and settled at the end of your cruise.

Exchange office
You can change small amounts of euros in US dollars or from US dollars in euros during your cruise.
Boutique
At the onboard boutique you will find a selection of exclusive SeaDream articles and designer brands. Depending on the current position of the yacht, the items purchased are duty-free.
Casino
Challenge your luck at blackjack and poker. In the daily program you will find the exact opening times of the onboard casino. Onboard credit  is not be accepted at the casino. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted.

Local channels
The yacht is equipped with an antenna which, depending on the destination, also receives local channels.

Onboard transmitter
There is a camera on the bridge and at the stern, which you can access at any time via your television in the cabin.
In addition, at least 2 film channels and 1 music channel are available for you at all times.
Fitness center
The spacious panoramic windows offer the best view of the passing landscape. Enjoy the view during your training! The fitness center is equipped with 4 treadmills, 1 cross trainer, 2 recumbent bikes and a selection of free weights as well as TVs and DVD players.

Cold bottled water and chilled towels are of course available on site. You don't have to bring towels from your cabin.

Also possible at other times by appointment.
Golf simulator
Do you want to improve your game? No problem with the SeaDream golf simulator! Choose from over 30 world-famous golf courses and let one of the bartenders provide you with delicious drinks during your game instead of a caddy.
Main salon
The main salon is equipped with a dance floor, stage, screen and bar. Thanks to the size, all guests can stay here at any time. Lean back and enjoy exciting shows, educational presentations about the places you have visited or a cinema show.
Internet and phone
Internet
WiFi is available on board for a fee. The costs incurred will be charged to your onboard account.

Due to the bandwidth limitation, the use of data-intensive applications such as Skype, Netflix, HBO Go or other streaming services is only possible to a limited extent. The internet quality varies according to the current location of the yacht.

Phone
Each cabin is equipped with a landline phone. The cost is $ 4.95 per minute for worldwide calls. Calls between two different cabins are free. The cost of incoming calls depends on the provider of the caller (the yacht uses Norwegian phone numbers).

Fax: sending / receiving costs USD 4.95 each per page.

Mobile phone
Since the mobile network at sea is much worse than on land, the cruise line cannot guarantee that your private mobile phone will have reception on board. Please ask your network operator for more detailed information and note any surcharges that depend on your respective fare and are not related to kreuzfahrten.de or SeaDream.
Children and pregnancy
Children
The minimum age of all guests is 1 year at the time of embarkation. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

If the adult, accompanying person is not a legal guardian, we must have a declaration of consent from the legal representative (s) at least 8 weeks before the start of the cruise. The adult is responsible for guarding all accompanying minors. If the violation of the supervision duty results in damage, injury, illness or death, the guardian is fully liable for it.

There are no children programs or babysitting services on board.

Pregnancy
Pregnant women who would reach the 24th week of pregnancy before the end of the cruise are not allowed to take a SeaDream cruise.
Clothing
During the day, a stylish, elegant clothing style is recommended, "country-club casual". Chic shorts and casual clothing are welcome.

In the evening it can be a bit more elegant:
Men: long pants, closed shoes, polo shirt or shirt, jacket (if you want)
Women: dress, skirt or elegant trousers, blouse or a chic top

Suits, ties or evening dresses are not necessary and are never expected during the cruise. Nevertheless, the cruise line asks not to wear jeans, shorts, T-shirts, flip-flops, torn clothes or swimwear in the evening.

There are no formal evenings planned.
Shore excursions
SeaDream offers a range of exciting shore excursions for an additional charge. Please note that some excursions require a minimum number of participants. If this is not reached, the excursion can unfortunately not take place. Excursions can be booked in advance or on board.

Piano bar
A relaxed lounge area where you can enjoy a cocktail after dinner and have your favorite song played by the pianist.
Smoking on board
There are specially designated smoking areas on board where you can enjoy cigarettes, cigars and electronic cigarettes. You can find this on the deck plan. Smoking is prohibited in the cabins or closed rooms.

Starlit Movies™
SeaDream has reinterpreted the classic concept of "dinner and a movie". On starry nights, you can retreat to the pool deck after dinner and watch a concert or movie on the big screen - with the starry sky and the harbor as a backdrop. Popcorn and a drink of your choice are available upon request. In bad weather, the movie night takes place in the large main salon.
Top of the Yacht Bar
This specially designed bar is located on deck 6. It is an ideal place to meet other guests and share the 360 ° views and breezes. This is the right place to hang out with a cigar and a drink after dinner.
Gratuities on board
The gratuities for the crew are already included in the travel price. They are therefore not necessary and not expected.
Entertainment
You can find information about the entertainment programs on offer in your daily program on board.

The following events are possible (list serves as example, actual program varies):
Dance evenings in the main salon or the top of the yacht bar, live music at the piano bar, guitar concerts at the top of the yacht bar ... and many more.
Prohibited items on board
For the safety of all guests, certain items may not be brought aboard the yacht, including: explosives, weapons, irons, illegal substances, candles, dangerous chemicals, objects that could affect the ship's systems or disturb other guests.

SeaDream reserves the right to make changes to this policy at any time and to refuse to take items that the crew deems to be dangerous or illegal.

For reasons of data protection and most local port regulations, guests are not permitted to use drones.
Meals
All meals on board are already included in the travel price. The dishes always contain fresh, selected ingredients and are prepared à la minute by the chefs. The excellent cuisine offers an inexhaustible variety of new delicacies and extra wishes are also gladly fulfilled.

Whenever the weather permits, breakfast and lunch are served outside on deck. In bad weather, the beautifully furnished dining room is at your disposal.

You can also use the 24-hour cabin service at any time and choose something from the "Small Bites" menu.

Allergies / intolerances
If you have to follow a special diet, please let us know at the time of booking. Only then can be made sure that the kitchen can prepare for all wishes.

Please note that very special diets require special ingredients that are normally not part of the usual repertoire on board. In this case, SeaDream may charge you additional costs.
Laundry
The cruise line offers a complete laundry service including ironing and dry cleaning. Laundry picked up before 10:00 will be returned on the same day. There is no self-service laundry on board.
Watersports Marina
What would yachting be without the right “toy”? From the onboard marina, you can devote yourself to the following water sports: sea kayaking, water skiing, banana boating, tubing, boarding, surfing or snorkeling. With every activity, the crew will of course be at your side with advice and action to get the most fun out of you and at the same time to ensure your safety. If there are several consecutive days at sea, you can try out all sports equipment one after the other. (depending on weather)

Documents and papers

Travel documents
Guests are responsible themselves for obtaining all necessary official travel documents (passports, visas, proof of immunizations) prior to embarkation. Passes should be valid for at least 6 months after the end date of the journey. Visas and vaccinations may be required for some routes. More information is available upon request. Please note that incomplete travel documents may result in your denial of embarkation without reimbursement of sea voyage or travel expenses.
