Recife is located at one of the most eastern points in Brazil at the mouth of the Capibaribe in the Atlantic. The town was once set up in a marshy area, the old town lies on two islands, and so it is that Recife is also called "Venice of the south".

They lie both very quiet and lonely amidst a beautiful landscape and a deep blue sea. The beaches are often visited by surfers and divers who find excellent conditions here. There are also some bars.
