The crater lake was formed in the middle of the 19th century, when a tsunami filled the crater with huge saltwater waves from the sea. A bath in its water is supposed to contribute to a long life. Enjoy the sun on one of the beautiful beaches of Satonda. The waters around the island also harbor a fascinating colorful underwater world with very unusual coral formations, which can be admired up close when snorkeling.
