Mousa (Moor) is a small Scottish Shetland Island, east of Mainland. It is separated by the Mousa Sound, which is about one kilometer wide. The island is about 2.5 kilometers long, about one kilometer wide, flat and treeless. It is uninhabited and hosts numerous bird species.

The island can be visited. Worth seeing is the Brochmousa. A broch is a round, Iron Age tower-like facility. The name derives from the Norman term for castle. The Brochmousa was built before the turn of the century and has a height of over 13 meters and a base width of about 15 meters whereby the interior has a diameter of about 6 meters. In the extremely thick masonry there are three large tomb-like chambers with two to four niches and three larger niches are accessible from the interior. In the lower wall, which is 4.5 m thick, a staircase leads to the upper floors. The tower has served for centuries for religious purposes.
