Aran Islands / Ierland
The Aran Islands are located off the west coast of Ireland in the Galway Bay. The archipelago consists of 7 small islands of which three are inhabited (Inishmore, Inishmaan and Inisheer). The islands are often visited for their prehistoric sites, but also because of their peace and the unique rugged landscape of limestone.
On the Aran Islands, the Gaelic culture is very well maintained. The everyday language is Gaelic, and even costumes are worn daily here.
