Cormorant Point, Isla Floreana; Galapagos Islands / Galapagoseilanden
Cormorant Point is located on Isla Floreana, which belongs to the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos Islands are located in the Pacific Ocean and part of the South American state of Ecuador. They are about 965 kilometers away from the mainland. The remote archipelago is of volcanic origin and consists of 14 major islands including Isla Floreana and a variety of other tiny islands. In 1835 Charles Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands and was inspired here to his theory of evolution.
