The 40,000-inhabitant city Bodø is considered in northern Norway as one of the main ferry terminals, as it connects to the Lofoten Archipelago and to other seaports. Simultaneously Bodø is considered as a good starting point to watch the midnight sun in the summer between June 4 and July 18.
The main attraction in Bodø is the Aerospace Center with seaplanes and a converted "JU 52".
Sightseeing attractions: the Kjerringøy Open Air Museum and the SAS Hotel with a viewing platform, from which one has a fantastic view over the entire city and the harbor.
