Berlevåg / Norway
Berlevåg is a municipality with around 1,100 inhabitants, located in the northern Norwegian county of Finnmark. Since 1975 also Hurtigruten ships dock there depending on sea conditions. The residents of the town live largely on fishing.
Interesting is the church of the municipality designed by architect Hans Magnus and built in 1960. You can also visit the Harbour Museum in the city, which informs in a clear way about the topics of fishing, navigation, World War II and the port expansion. Also take a side trip to the nearby mountain Tanahorn which once also was a Sami sacrifice site.
